Wan Tech Solutions Ltd. ("Wan Tech", "we", "us") operates Wan Schools ("the Service"). This policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling data lawfully and transparently in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

2. Information we collect

• School & account data: school name, address, administrator contact details, and login credentials.
• Student & staff records: names, biodata, academic results, attendance, and fee information entered by your school.
• Payment data: transaction references processed through our payment partners (e.g. Paystack, mobile money). We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: device, browser, IP address, and pages visited, used to keep the Service secure and reliable.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process subscriptions and fee payments on behalf of your school.
• To send transactional notifications (e.g. results, invoices, announcements) via in-app, email, or SMS.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud and abuse.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Data ownership & controllers

Each school is the data controller for the student, parent, and staff records it enters. Wan Tech acts as a data processor, handling that data only on the school's instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.

5. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers (hosting, payments, messaging) under contractual confidentiality, or where required by law.

6. Data security & retention

We apply industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular backups. Data is retained for as long as your school maintains an active account and as required by applicable law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. For records held by your school, please contact your school administrator first.
